Compare bottle bodies, closures, labels and line behaviour as one controlled packaging system.
Bottle selection should consider the complete pack and its use cycle. Material, colour, wall distribution, neck finish, closure, liner, label and decoration influence product protection, filling, capping, handling, appearance and end-of-life performance. No bottle material is universally preferable for every product or distribution route.

Include the closure and label
A bottle with a compatible material body can still have a liner, pump, trigger, tamper band, full-body sleeve or adhesive label that changes the complete-pack assessment. Confirm the exact neck finish and closure drawing, dip-tube length, liner, application method and required removal instruction. For labels, include face stock, adhesive, coverage, wash-off or separation behaviour where relevant.
Recycled content and colour
Where recycled content is proposed, request a dated declaration for the exact bottle grade and percentage. Recycled-content terminology does not establish food-contact suitability, line performance or recyclability; those questions need separate evidence. Changes in colour or clarity can also affect sorting, appearance inspection and brand acceptance.
Filling-line compatibility
- Container dimensions, tolerances, base stability and neck concentricity.
- Fill product, temperature, foaming and required headspace.
- Cap feed, application method, torque or closure acceptance criteria.
- Label panel, surface energy, condensation and application temperature.
- Conveyor guide contact, accumulation pressure and inspection points.

Send the target capacity, current bottle and closure samples, product and fill conditions, annual quantity, delivery pattern, label or decoration method, required evidence and machinery details. Lancing can then distinguish a like-for-like supply enquiry from a controlled bottle-system change.
Can an rPET bottle be approved from the material name alone?
No. Confirm the recycled-content percentage, grade, scope, product-contact documentation and performance for the exact bottle.
Can the same 28 mm cap fit every 28 mm bottle?
No. Diameter alone does not define the thread, finish, sealing land, tamper feature or application requirements. Use matching drawings and samples.
When is a lighter bottle ready for production?
Only after line, closure, label, storage and distribution acceptance criteria are met and the approved sample is controlled.
